“You can’t go to to an R.D.A centre without volunteers, parents, riders, telling you amazing stories about those transformations that have happened in every centre” ~ Ed Bracher.
Would you like to become a volunteer?
As a national charity, we assist approximately 30,000 participates every year. We at Bridgend giving riding lessons to over 45 riders each week. We are always in need of volunteers who can spare us a few hours a week to help in our sessions so our lessons can run. Without volunteers the charity would be non-existent.
All we ask is that you must be a minimum age of 14. You do not need any previous experience with horses or working with people living with a disability, as all training, advise and support is given.
Volunteers are needed to lead the horses and walk along side the children helping them get the most out of the experience. and if you can spare us the time, to help tack up and prepare for the day ahead.
We also need a team of people to help us fundraise, whether it’s to help out at any of our events or to help us think of new fundraising ideas.
We would appreciate any time you can spare. If you are interested in joining our friendly team, or wish to ask any questions please e-mail us at bridgendrda@hotmail.com and one of the team members will be back in contact with you. Alternatively you can ring us: 0845 241 1392
